The Friends of the Continence Foundation is our membership
scheme.
Members include experts in the field from all disciplines
and interests - specialist nurses, physicians, surgeons,
physiotherapists - as well as researchers, manufacturers,
policy makers and, of course, people with incontinence and
their carers.
Membership offers a way for all those interested in the
subject to support us and to keep in touch with what we
are doing and what is happening in the field.
As
a Friend of the Foundation, you will receive our Newsletter
at least three times a year - more frequently if events
require. You will receive our annual report, be able to
attend our AGM, vote for the Trustees and contribute to
forming our policy. Friends pay reduced prices for some
of our publications.
The minimum subscription is £5 a year, which we hope is
low enough not to put anyone off. There is no maximum, however,
and we rely on those who can afford it to support our work
by paying as much as they can afford. With no core finance
from public funds we depend heavily on subscriptions and
donations to keep the Helpline and our other projects going.
(Voluntary and commercial organisations can also join,
the minimum subscription being £20 for voluntary bodies
and £50 for compasnies.)
The implementation of the Department of Health's new continence
policy, the NHS reorganisation into primary care groups
and the debate about policy on care for elderly people are
presenting both opportunities and risks for continence services.
Do therefore please join the Friends.
Not only will you be keeping in touch - you will be
supporting the work of the Foundation - its Helpline, its
campaigning and its projects.
